St. Whansis of Azeetzee

Robin needed rescuing from the shelter. She needed TLC and a weight loss program. Robin needed me. So now Robin has joined my rabbit ranch. I have no sense of enoughness.

She is a 3 year old mini-rex, with the markings of an English Spot. She weighs 7lbs 10.5 oz. . She should be around 6 lbs. The shelter kept giving her unlimited pellets even though the vet told them not to! Now she will get lots of fresh hay, some fresh veggies everyday, and just a pinch of pellets.

She's very snuggly. She sat on my shoulder for half an hour while I pet her. When she finally gave me some purrs, I knew she was mine. I've been visiting her for about three weeks, and I think I'm the only one who has been handling her. She's needed butt baths because she's so fat that she can't groom herself. If she isn't kept clean she could get ulcers on her skin.

I'm hoping that someday Robin will be Flopper's wife.

Speaking of Flopper....It took me two days to put together a new rabbitat for him next to Sam & Rosie. The neighborhood is a little too crowded for Sam, and he's really complaining. I placed a bite-proof barrier around Flopper's pen. Every time Rosie tries to check out Flopper, Sam chases her into a box, and then gives Flopper looks that could kill. He'd really like to take a chunk of fur out of Flop! But I have high hopes that they will adjust and someday be buddies.

Am I having empty-nest syndrome?
