Recovered

This blog entry is dedicated to Lorena Ellenberger!

Flopper had his neuter surgery last week. He recovered very quickly and is now back to his active, sweet self.

Just to give you a sense of Flopper's size, watch this video:

As you can see, Flopper continues to do what he does best, flop. But, to spice up his life I gave him a box!

Important Update: Sam and Rosie are at the vet today getting their teeth fixed. They both had spikes growing on their back molars and if left untreated the spikes would cut their tongues and cheeks. It costs over $600! Yes, I'm nuts, but how can I not take care of my babies? But, there goes my sewing machine savings...

The vet just called with some good news/bad news about Sam. He has an abcessed tooth in the back of his mouth. Abcesses in rabbits don't go away by themselves. She can't remove the tooth as it could cause a fatal hemorrhage. So, he has to get injections of penicillin, possibly for the rest of his life. The good news is that she caught it early and there's a small chance that the abcess will clear up. Poor Sam!!!
